Travis Kelce wishes Myles Garrett good luck for DPOY Award
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce does not play for Cleveland, but he always wishes his hometown well. With one of the Browns up for a big time postseason award, Myles Garrett in the running for the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award, Kelce was quick to throw his support behind him. “Good luck to Myles on trying to get that award,” he said on Wednesday. “He was on a terror and it looks to be that he’s found his groove n the NFL.”
Garrett is one of five finalists for the award joining Pittsburgh’s T.J. Watt, Maxx Crosby from Las Vegas and DaRon Bland and Micah Parsons from Dallas. Garrett has never won the NFL’s most prestigious defensive award
Couldn’t be happier for the city of Cleveland to have a guy like that. He’s in the community, he’s in it for the right reasons and Cleveland is lucky to have that guy,” said Kelce.
The NFL will announce their award winners on Thursday night.
