King Charles may meet Prince Harry as the latter is scheduled to visit the UK but Queen Camilla does not want this to happen.
The Queen does not want the king to take any stress as he is battling cancer, the Daily Beast reported, citing a friend of the Queen.
Some of the advisers of King Charles are also urging caution about meeting Harry.
The King sent a birthday wish to Prince Harry as the prince turned 40 hinting at a thawing of their relationship caused by the hurt that Prince Harry delivered by badmouthing the Royal Family and also quitting the royal responsibilities.
But a public birthday wish is the most King Charles would do, a meeting may not happen, insiders say but nobody is ruling out a meeting as well.
King Charles will be in Scotland next week and Harry will be in London and a meeting is logistically impossible unless Prince Harry is invited to Scotland by the King as he is certainly capable of travelling around the UK.
Prince Harry was in the UK recently at his mother’s ancestral home.
It is not yet known where would Prince Harry stay in the UK but it is likely that he would not stay at any royal residence.
According to reports, he is likely to stay in a central London Hotel but it has not been confirmed by Harry’s team.
Queen Camilla’s warning to King Charles comes at a time when Harry is eager to meet with his father, it has been claimed.
Harry publicly expressed his desire to mend his relationship with his father, and brother William and was disappointed that King Charles was too busy to meet him when he was in the UK on an earlier occasion.
But King Charles and Prince William reportedly are not too keen to embrace Prince Harry back into the royal fold.
“Camilla is said by friends to be one of those who has not encouraged a meeting with Harry, as she does not want her husband to be subjected to unnecessary stress before his trip to Australia in mid-October, ahead of which he is gathering his strength at Birkhall, his retreat in the Scottish Highlands,” the Daily Beast reported.
“She has been the principal voice urging Charles to slow down and take things easy.
The last thing she wants him to do is to get stressed out over a meeting with Harry,” Camilla’s friend said.
