Megahn Markle accused of being a bad neighbor in Montecito…..see more
Meghan Markle has found herself at the center of fresh criticism, this time from a neighbor in Montecito, California, where she and Prince Harry have resided since stepping down as senior royals in 2020.
In the newly released documentary Harry: The Lost Prince, neighbor Richard Mineards voiced his dissatisfaction with Meghan’s perceived detachment from the local community.
“I personally don’t think that Meghan is an asset to our community,” Mineards claimed.
“She doesn’t really go out or get involved with the community.
Harry has to a certain extent, because he’s quite jolly… but Meghan doesn’t seem to get seen anywhere.”
A lavish lifestyle
Mineards also commented on the couple’s luxurious lifestyle in Montecito, a neighborhood known for its multi-million-dollar homes.
The Sussexes purchased their nine-bedroom, 16-bathroom mansion for $14.6 million shortly after leaving the royal family.
Their sprawling estate features amenities like a games room, gym, tennis courts, and a tea house.
“It doesn’t come cheap,” Mineards added. “Most houses are about eight or nine million dollars.”
The documentary, aired on Germany’s ZDF network, was directed by Ulrike Grunewald and explores the lives of Harry and Meghan through interviews with neighbors, royal experts, and former associates.
Grunewald suggested that Meghan may feel the weight of increasing criticism, even from communities that once supported her.
“She [Meghan] might be embarrassed about the amount of criticism she now gets,” Grunewald told The Express.
