Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Shared New Photos of Archie and Lilibet in Their Yearly Holiday Card…..see more
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry gave fans a glimpse at what a Sussex family Christmas entails as they shared their 2024 holiday card on Monday, December 16.
While their kids Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have stayed out of the spotlight in Montecito, California, the proud parents included a rare new photo of their 5-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter spending time with them and their three dogs in their latest holiday greeting.
The surprising new portrait, which comes amid recent reports that Harry is “reluctant” to have images of his kids out in the public sphere, showed how much the mini Sussexes have grown up over the last few years.
In the six-picture digital card, the toddlers could be seen from behind as they ran towards their parents’ outstretched arms.
Wearing her long red hair in ringlets, Lillibet was outfitted in a white sundress decorated with a blue floral pattern as well as long white socks and black shoes as she headed towards her mother.
Meanwhile, Archie showed off a similar auburn hair color while wearing a green sweater and jeans.
The Sussex kids were surrounded by their three dogs while a beaming Harry and Meghan waited for them.
“On behalf of the office of Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions and Archewell Foundation,” the card read.
“We wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful new year.”
It’s the first glimpse of the prince and princess since 2022, when viewers briefly saw the brother and sister appear in the couple’s 2022 Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan.
The card also featured some photos from Harry and Meghan’s highly-publicized trips to Nigeria and Colombia this year.
Despite a source telling People this summer that Prince Harry is prioritizing safe-guarding his children’s privacy and safety to help them “lead as normal a life as possible,” multiple sources previously shared that the couple is considering taking their kids with them on their Invictus Games travels in 2025.
“The Sussexes have been very involved with the organizational elements of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler events and it was very much their idea to make this a family-friendly game so that those taking part can bring their children along,” an insider previously told Express, adding that Harry is hoping that Prince Archie is as passionate about the initiative as he is.
“A patronage will one day be passed to Archie so the foundation can be kept within the family.
Harry is adamant that the Invictus Games will remain a Sussex initiative,” the source continued.
Meanwhile, royal author Tom Quinn previously told The Mirror that it’s only a matter of time before Harry and Meghan bring their brood along with them on their upcoming travels.
“Harry and Meghan are incredibly proud of their children, and when they are a little older and better able to travel, there is no doubt they will be taken on some of the couple’s tours,” he shared.
