Meghan Markle may not be a certified comedian, but most people are convinced she can flawlessly hold the title judging on how royally overboard she can go sometimes.
This time around though, she might well eat the cake and have it by how beautifully her orchestrated stunt just blew up in her face.
Meghan Markle Has Staff Announcing Her Presence Before She Walks Into the Room
Meghan Markle recently graced the cover of Harper’s Bazaar 2025/2026 issue and talked about a number of things, from her position as a public figure to her business, her philanthropy, and of course, her private life as a wife and mother.
However, the entire interview itself has gone largely ignored just so fans can snigger at the degree of ridiculousness attached to one of the interview’s most striking moments.
Well, for this interview, since it would have been inconvenient for Meghan to have it hold at her and Harry’s Montecito property, she turned to a friend, who agreed to borrow her their mansion instead.
As Meghan and the Harper Bazaar journalist came into the grand property, something funny happened.
“We’re in a grand brownstone on the Upper East Side that belongs to one of Meghan’s friends. When I enter, the house manager announces, “Meghan, Duchess of Sussex,” even though we appear to be the only other two people in the house,” Kaitlyn Greenbridge writes for Harper Bazaar.
This has drawn much derision from the internet at large, with long time Sussex critic Piers Morgan simply resharing the quote and adding three laughing emojis.
One fan blasted, “She is such a silly cow, honestly,” while another quips, “This is a mental illness. No wonder why everyone quits soon after they start working for Meghan. She probably wants them to announce her title in this way often.”
For some though, believing that the scene at the Upper East Side mansion really did happen was a bit hard, with one commenting, “WAIT — this is a direct quote from the interview?”
I remember sometime ago that Prince Harry told us that Meghan Markle does not care about being a princess. It’s a good thing then that she’s not a princess, if you get what I mean.
