Grammy Award-winning singer Adele has postponed her Las Vegas residency shows owing to ill health. The singer shared the update with her fans on her social media handles. Adele has mentioned that she is ‘sick’ and her vocal cords are also affected.
Adele’s Instagram post reads, “Sadly I have to take a beat and pause by Vegas residency. I was sick at the end of the last leg and all the way through my break. I hadn’t quite gotten the chance to get back to full health before shows resumed and now I’m sick again, and unfortunately it’s all taken a toll on my voice. And so on Doctors orders, I have no choice but to rest thoroughly. The remaining 5 weekends of this leg are being postponed to a later date. I love you, I’ll miss you like mad and I’m sorry for the inconvenience.”
Adele’s shows in Las Vegas, known as Weekends With Adele Residency, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace began in November 2022 and will run till June 15 this year. “This residency, these shows have changed my life. I desperately needed to fall back in love with performing live again, and I have. I needed to reconnect with my songs and remember what they mean to me, and I have,” the singer tweeted in October last year. Talking about her experience performing at the residency, the ‘Hello’ singer had shared, “All the hilarious, soulful, wild and heartbreaking interactions we’ve had are banked in my mind for life. The looks on your faces, seeing you laugh and cry together singing your hearts out and hoarding bags of confetti.”
Adele has captivated audiences worldwide with her soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics. Her hit songs, such as “Someone Like You,” “Rolling in the Deep,” and “Hello,” have resonated deeply with listeners, topping charts and earning critical acclaim. With her powerful vocals and emotionally resonant storytelling, Adele has become a cultural icon, touching hearts and inspiring millions with her music. She has received numerous accolades including 16 Grammy Awards, 12 Brit Awards (including three for British Album of the Year), an Academy Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Golden Globe Award.
