TAYLOR SWIFT fans went into meltdown over Lionel Messi’s Instagram activity.
Pop star Swift has just released a new album.

It is called ‘Tortured Poets Department’.
And it apparently details intricacies of her past relationship with actor Joe Alwyn, which ended in April 2023 after six years.
The Brit has starred in films including ‘Mary Queen of Scots’ and ‘Boy Erased’.
Some songs in Swift’s new album allegedly hit out at her relationship with Alwyn, which supposedly ended on rocky terms.
And some of her fans ended up noticing that Argentina legend Messi had unfollowed Alwyn on Instagram in the wake of the album’s release.
One of Swift’s new songs is called ‘Down Bad’.
And, if it does allude to her relationship with Alwyn, has some very interesting lyrics.
They go: “Did you take all my old clothes just to leave me here naked and alone.

“In a field in my same old town that somehow seems so hollow now.
“How dare you think it’s romantic. Leaving me safe and stranded.”

Another, also alleged to be about Alwyn, is called ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived’.
The eye-raising lyrics go: “And you’ll confess why you did it. And I’ll say good riddance.
“Cos it wasn’t sexy once it wasn’t forbidden. You didn’t measure up in any measure of a man.
“I would have died for your sins but instead I just died inside. You deserve prison, but you won’t get time.
“You will slide into inboxes and slip through the bars.”
One fan said: “Messi is a Swiftie! He unfollowed Joe Alwyn on Instagram.”
Another noted: “Long live Messi.”
One added: “Messi has unfollowed Joe Alwyn.”
However, it appears Messi unfollowed Alwyn a year ago after he split up with Swift.
In April 2023, a Twitter user said: “After his break up with Taylor Swift, Lionel Messi has unfollowed Joe Alwyn on Instagram.”
