It’s graduation season in the United States and that means celebrities are making guest speeches at the top schools in the country. While that hasn’t gone too well for Harrison Butker, Kylie Kelce proved there is a way to nail a speech when addressing the adults of tomorrow.

Kylie, the wife of former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, appeared at Pennsylvania’s Cabrini University this weekend to deliver a commencement speech to the school’s final graduating class before it closes for good. The university’s property is being sold to nearby Villanova University.

It was an emotional time for Kylie as he visited her alma mater, having graduated in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in communications and played women’s field hockey,

But she kept it light and breezy when speaking to graduating students from the 2024 Class, cracking a number of jokes in her popular speech.

“My husband, Jason Kelce, is known for giving some pretty earth-shattering speeches. He did not help me with writing my words today, so lower those expectations,” Kylie said.

“I soon became the 21-year-old freshman transfer,” she added. “Switching my major and transferring schools are the prime example of figuring out as you go … and inevitable uncertainty probably won’t end after college.

“Everyone’s first question after graduation is what’s next. ‘I don’t know’ can be an honest and sufficient answer. The truth is that no one has their lives completely figured out, and if someone tells you otherwise, they are lying.”

Harrison Butker misses the field goal
While Kelce’s speech was as much filled with hope and well wishes as it contained realistic experiences from her own life, Butker has faced heavy scrutiny for his comments last week.

The Kansas City Chiefs kicker – speaking to college students at Benedictine College – has been blasted for his remarks, which have been labeled misogynistic, homophobic and transphobic.
