Taylor Swift Fans Are Literally Crying Over Travis Kelce’s Emotional Reaction to a Rare Lyric at the Eras Tour
The moment we have ALL been waiting for.”
Everything really has changed for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce since last summer.
On July 6 the power couple—who are coming up on their one-year anniversary—shared a moment at the final Amsterdam Eras Tour concert that was so intimate, you would never guess they were in a packed arena with around 55,000 spectators—and I’m not even talking about their latest joint exit.
For the first time in 16 years, Swift performed “Mary’s Song” from her self-titled debut album, released back in 2006. Despite its age, the deep cut has come to represent Swift and Kelce’s relationship to many fans thanks to a particularly prophetic lyric—which she made sure to include in the surprise song mashup with “Everything Has Changed” and “So High School,” a song largely believed to have been written about Kelce for The Tortured Poets Department.
“I’ll be 87, you’ll be 89,” Swift sang with a very knowing smile, per fan recordings. “I’ll still look at you like the stars that shine in the sky, oh my my my.” While both Kelce and Swift were born in 1989, the 34-year-old NFL player wears the number “87” on his Chiefs jersey in honor of his older brother Jason Kelce.
