Kaley Cuoco’s Life ‘Has Been a Whirlwind of Happiness’ amid Engagement to Tom Pelphrey: She’s ‘Thrilled’

Shortly after the news of her engagement to Tom Pelphrey, a source exclusively tells PEOPLE that the Big Bang Theory  alum’s life “has been a whirlwind of happiness” since announcing her upcoming nuptials.

“She’s super happy with Tom,” the insider says. “Her daughter is such a light. Kaley loves being a mom.

For years, her main focus was work. To now focus on her family instead, makes her thrive.

Getting married hasn’t been a priority until now.”

“Kaley’s thrilled to be engaged. You know she’ll plan the most gorgeous wedding. And it will be even more special now when her daughter can be part of it,” the source adds.

 

On Aug. 15, the Flight Attendant star, 38, revealed her engagement in a post shared on her Instagram Stories.

“Amazing weekend,” she capt a photo  showing off the ring with the Ozark alum.

Cuoco publicly confirmed her relationship with Pelphrey in May 2022 on Instagram.
The pair share daughter Matilda Carmine Richie, whom they welcomed in March 2023.

The new light of our lives! We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle.

Thank you to the doctors, nurses, family and friends who have helped us immensely over the last few days. We are blessed beyond belief,” she captioned a series of photos of the newborn.

She added: “@tommypelphrey didn’t think I could fall even more in love with you, but I did.”

Pelphrey also shared his own announcement: “My heart is full of love and gratitude for this miracle. Eternally grateful for the strength and bravery of my soulmate and best friend @kaleycuoco. You are incredible.”

The couple first connected in April 2022 when they were set up by their manager, Andrea Pett-Joseph. “She’s like, ‘Oh my God, I think you guys are perfect for each other,'” Cuoco said during an interview with USA Today.
