Brooks Koepka has spilled the beans on how he and Bryson DeChambeau called a truce to their notorious feud.
The golf world was riveted by the animosity between the two American players, which escalated from initial resentment into a full-blown rivalry, making it one of the sport’s most talked-about disputes in recent times.
But it seems that their bad blood has finally been put to rest.
Their feud, which spanned several years, saw them trading jabs over their achievements and even their body shapes.
However, their joint move to the controversial LIV Golf series appears to have been instrumental in them deciding to make peace.
On the Pardon My Take podcast, 34-year-old Koepka opened up about the resolution with DeChambeau.
When quizzed about whether their ‘beef’ was over, Koepka confirmed in a laid-back manner that they had put it behind them, admitting that the feud had simply dragged on for too long.
“Yeah we’re done,” Koepka revealed.
“Obviously the LIV conversation, that was kind of the big turning point, it was like ‘hey we gotta work together with this’ but also, for five years, we were like ‘finally let’s just move on’.
It ran its course and I didn’t want to beat him up too bad.
