Joe Alwyn continues to put on a defiant display as he attends cocktail party during Cannes Film Festival – after ex Taylor Swift savaged him in new album and also showed off her ROMANTIC dates
Joe Alwyn continued to put on a defiant display as he posed at a cocktail party during Cannes Film Festival on Thursday night – as he emerges back into the limelight after being savaged by his ex Taylor Swift in her new album.
The actor, 33, arrived in the French city earlier in the day and his airport appearance was the first time he had been seen since the new music was released.
Last month his ex-girlfriend Taylor, 34, released several savage tracks about their failed six-year relationship on the record, The Tortured Poets Department.
But Joe looked unbothered by the recent controversy as he attended the Golden Globes and Robb Report bash wearing a stylish black and white shirt.
He completed his outfit with black jeans and wore a leather belt and smart shiny shoes.
He is likely attending Cannes Film Festival to promote his upcoming eccentric new film Kinds Of Kindness – set for release on June 21 – which he stars in alongside Emma Stone.

‘This writer is of the firm belief that our tears become holy in the form of ink on a page. Once we have spoken our saddest story, we can be free of it. And then all that’s left behind is the tortured poetry.’
The album also appears to reference her brief dalliance with The 1975 frontman Matty Healy in the weeks after her split from Joe.
Lyrics refer to a man in a ‘Jehovah’s Witness suit’ – Matty is known for his distinctive black suits – and typewriters, which feature on stage during his live shows.
There is also mention of drug use. The frontman, who is now dating model Gabbriette Bechtel, has talked openly about substance abuse in past interviews.
Their fling, which neither party confirmed, ended as fast as it began after Taylor received a backlash from fans over Matty’s ‘bad boy’ image and ‘racist’ impressions on a podcast.
