King Charles III at 75 and facing a battle with cancer, has made it clear that peace and serenity are his top priorities.
Known for his love of nature, the monarch has always sought moments of quiet, particularly through long walks in England and Scotland’s forests.
As he contemplates his health, Charles is more focused than ever on maintaining a calm atmosphere in his life, especially when it comes to his family.
The King has decided not to invitePrince Harry and Meghan Markle to Sandringham for the Christmas holiday, a decision that reflects his desire to avoid any further family drama.
In an interview with FOX News, royal author Ingrid Seward explained the situation.
“Christmas is about everybody being happy and getting on with each other.
The general feeling is that King Charles just couldn’t deal with the drama,” Seward told FOX News.
For the monarch, this holiday season is about unity and peace, something he believes would be disrupted by the tensions surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Security dispute at the center of row
The ongoing security dispute between Prince Harry and the British government has also played a significant role in the royal tensions.
Harry has been fighting in court to secure the level of protection he believes his family needs.
He has openly stated that he believes King Charles has the authority and financial resources to resolve the issue, but Buckingham Palace has denied his claims.
Harry and Meghan have made it clear that they will not return to the UK unless their security concerns are addressed, with some sources suggesting that they are using emotional leverage to push the King into compliance.
However, King Charles, already focused on his health and well-being, has refused to be manipulated.
While he undoubtedly wants to spend time with his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, he is unwilling to allow further demands to disrupt his peace of mind.
As a result, it seems that Prince Harry and Meghan will not be joining the Royal Family this Christmas.
The couple will have to explore other options to reconnect with the monarchy, as the King stands firm in his decision.
