Patrick Mahomes Sr., father of Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes, is facing serious legal trouble after being charged with a felony DWI in Texas.

This charge comes after Mahomes Sr.’s third DWI arrest earlier this year, just a week before the Super Bowl. According to Texas law, a third felony DWI conviction could lead to a prison sentence ranging from two to 10 years. Despite his involvement in celebrating his son’s Super Bowl victory, Mahomes Sr. has yet to publicly address his latest legal issues.

Authorities allege Mahomes Sr. showed signs of impairment during a routine traffic stop, admitting to consuming alcohol prior to driving.
