More reports are coming in about the tragic death of Liam Payne and we’re learning more about what happened in his final moments.

The former One Direction singer died at the young age of 31 on Wednesday (October 16) after falling from the third floor of his hotel in Argentina.

Alberto Crescenti, the director of SAME, Buenos Aires Emergency Medical Services, said, “At 5:04 p.m., through 911 and the integrated public security system, we were alerted about a person in the internal courtyard of the CasaSur hotel.”

He continued, “At 5:11, a SAME team arrived and confirmed the man’s death.

We later learned that he was a singer in a musical group.

Unfortunately, he had injuries incompatible with life as a result of his fall, so we had to confirm his death.

There was no possibility of resuscitation.”

Authorities believe that Liam suffered a “skull base fracture,” though a cause of death will not be confirmed until an autopsy is performed.

The fall was estimated to be about 42 to 45 feet.

In the time leading up to Liam’s death, it has been reported that police were called about “an aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol” at the hotel.

TMZ is reporting that shortly before Liam’s death “he smashed his laptop” in the hotel lobby “and had to be carried back to his room.”
