Prince William and Kate as ‘The Future Monarchy’ Goes Viral…read more

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s fans have hailed the couple and their children’s roles in securing the future of the British royal family.

Video clips of the Prince and Princess of Wales appearing with their children around Christmas went viral on TikTok as fans proclaimed their future status as king and queen.

A TikTok video was viewed 467,000 times and liked almost 60,000 times after it was posted with the on screen caption: “The Future Monarchy.”

The edit begins with dramatic footage of William and Kate, accompanied by Prince George and Princess Charlotte, walking into Westminster Abbey, in London, for the Princess of Wales’ Christmas Carol Service in December 2022.

I’m Next up, the whole family, including Prince Louis, is seen at the Easter Mattins Service at Windsor Castle on April 9, 2023, where Kate wore an electric blue Catherine Walker coat dress.

The five are then seen on the Buckingham Palace balcony during the Platinum Jubilee pageant in June 2022 followed by the Christmas Day church service at Sandringham in December 2022.

Other clips include a family visit to Wimbledon and a balcony appearance during Trooping the Colour, at the Platinum Jubilee, in 2022, when Louis wore a sailor suit.

One fan wrote: “Future King, Queen, Prince of Wales and Princess Royal. Prince Louis will also be the Future Duke of York.”

Prince William is next in line to be monarch, after King Charles III, and once he is on the throne Kate will become Queen Catherine.

The first in the order of succession gets the title Prince of Wales, which will pass from William to George just as it did from Charles to William in September 2022 when Queen Elizabeth II died.

The eldest daughter of a monarch is usually known as the Princess Royal, a title currently held by Princess Anne, Charles’ sister.

The second son of the monarch traditionally gets the title Duke of York, currently held by Prince Andrew.

If William were to become king while Anne and Andrew were still alive, Charlotte and Louis might have to wait before getting new titles, however, since Anne and Andrew would retain theirs for life.

Britain long debated whether the monarchy would skip over the reign of Charles and go straight to William after successive rounds of polling showed son was more popular than father.

Now succession has happened, however, there is little talk of bringing the current era to an end early during the king’s lifetime.

That means Wales fans may have a long time to wait before they see the Prince and Princess on the throne.
