In the midst of Only Murders in the Building’s thrilling third season, a subtle detail in the latest episode has grabbed the attention of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce fans.

On Tuesday, October 8, eagle-eyed viewers spotted what they believe to be an Easter egg linking the Anti-Hero singer with the Kansas City Chiefs star.

The detail that set fans off

In the episode, Selena Gomez’s character, Mabel Mora, finds herself in a quirky, doll-filled house owned by a character played by guest star Melissa McCarthy.

Among the many dolls, one in particular stands out-a life-sized figure with strikingly blonde hair and Swift’s signature bangs.

But what truly caught everyone’s attention? The doll is wearing a jersey with the number “87” on it, the same number as Travis Kelce’s for the Kansas City Chiefs-a number Taylor has been seen sporting on multiple occasions at his games.

Fans quickly took to social media to share their excitement.

One viewer posted on X: “Wait guys taylor cameo in the new ep of only murders in the building??? and she’s wearing an 87 shirt omg help .”

Another fan tweeted, “I was watching the new episode of only murders in the building and..IS THAT SUPPOSED TO BE TAYLOR?”

This potential Easter egg comes just weeks after Selena Gomez addressed the possibility of a Taylor Swift cameo in the series during an interview with E! News.

When asked about her friend’s potential appearance, Gomez replied, “She’s a little busy, you guys.”

However, when the reporter joked that Swift could simply walk by in a street scene, Gomez added, “I love that.”

Even Steve Martin, one of the show’s stars, chimed in during the interview, praising both Swift and Gomez.

“Taylor Swift handles everything perfectly, and so does Selena.

In the situations I’ve seen-politically, trolls, everything-she just seems to have a wisdom about how to do something quietly, effortlessly,” Martin remarked.
