For those planning to see Taylor Swift during her UK Eras Tour dates, Ticketmaster has announced a massive U-turn.

The Eras Tour was once a “lead booker” event, which required attendance by the cardholder who made the purchase. Many individuals worried that they wouldn’t be able to attend the event after purchasing tickets as gifts as a result of this.

Ticket holders received emails from the corporation on Wednesday indicating the policy had been discontinued.

“The lead booker” policy has been lifted, which means that the individual whose name appears on the Ticketmaster account used to purchase tickets is no longer obligated to attend the event, according to Ticketmaster.

“The remaining terms and conditions are unaltered. Enjoy the show, we hope!

The Eras Tour is the highest-grossing tour of all time, having commenced on March 17, 2023, in Glendale, Arizona. It is the first tour to generate revenue exceeding $1 billion.

Due to exceptional demand for tickets, the worldwide phenomenon added two additional London events back in November.

In addition to receiving great acclaim for her accompanying performance film, the singer—who was selected Time Person of the Year 2023—was recently designated a millionaire by Forbes.

The three-and-a-half-hour performance, which features songs from all of her “musical eras,” sold out on Ticketmaster and AXS in the UK in a matter of minutes. During the internet presale for the megastars’ July gigs in London and Edinburgh, close to 40,000 people signed up.

Up to £3,352 has been seen for tickets on resale websites; the original sale price of a front-row standing ticket was £172.25.

On April 19, the pop sensation will release her much awaited eleventh studio album, The Department.
