Sofia Vergara shares sizzling bikini throwback from early modeling days while recovering from knee surgery

As Sofía Vergara gets back on the mend following major surgery, she’s reminiscing about her younger years.

The Golden Globe nominee, 51, shared a sizzling throwback photo Thursday of herself modeling a black string bikini on a beach during her early modeling days.

‘I wish I had @toty [sunscreen] back then,’ wrote Vergara in the caption.

Although she might have been lacking in the SPF, Vergara’s skin was glowing in the photo, which showed off her taut figure.

Vergara attended three years of dentistry school before dropping out to pursue modeling and acting.

The Modern Family alum previously acknowledged that her ‘giant boobs’ and body ultimately helped her acting career.

‘It would be absurd to deny it or for that to make me feel bad,’ Vergara told Spanish newspaper El País in January.

‘My giant boobs and my body opened doors for me; they were my passport to the world when I was 20 years old when I started as a model, but today I’m 51 years old and I’m still here.’

She added, ‘If you only see my boobs, then that’s your problem.’

‘There are women who are prettier, younger, who have bigger breasts and a better body than me, but I’m still around because I have demonstrated that I can stay,’ said Vergara.

Vergara’s latest post comes after she revealed last weekend that she’s recovering from knee surgery.

‘If u ever get a [major] knee surgery make sure u get a handsome doctor who will sleep with u that night!!!!’ Vergara wrote on her Instagram Story.

The Griselda star shared the health news with a photo of her surgeon boyfriend Dr. Justin Saliman tending to her leg, writing: ‘Luv u Dr @jdsaliman.’

She and Dr. Saliman were first romantically linked last October, three months after she ex-husband Joe Manganiello announced their divorce.

Following seven years of marriage, Vergara and Manganiello, 47, amicably settled their divorce in February.

In January, Vergara admitted to El País that they divorced because he ‘wanted to have kids’ and she ‘didn’t want to be an old mom.’

Vergara appeared on Watch What Happens Live that month, telling host Andy Cohen that she’s sworn off younger men.

‘They can’t be younger than 50, I’m 51,’ she said. ‘Okay, 49.’

A source told DailyMail.com in November that things were ‘moving fast’ with Vergara and Saliman, and she is ‘falling in love’ with him.

By January, another insider said that he was more of a ‘rebound,’ and despite the ‘amazing connection,’ Vergara ‘likes being considered single and ready to mingle’ and ‘doesn’t want to settle with anyone.’

Vergara told DailyMail.com in February that she’s ‘open to having fun,’ but she’s steering clear of the dating apps.

‘I’m bad with technology, so I’m sure I would click on the wrong ones,’ said Vergara. ‘I’m open to having fun and meeting people. It’s only been six months.’
