Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift very nearly didn’t reunite in Australia, as the NFL champion had initially decided to allow her to tour without ‘distractions.’

But insiders have claimed he jumped on a plane to give the pop superstar the ultimate Valentine’s Day gift – a romantic reunion with her boyfriend.

Fresh off his Super Bowl victory, the sportsman, 34, was reunited with the pop superstar after touching down in Sydney on Thursday morning before cheering her on at her concert later that night, with the pair captured enjoying an offstage kiss.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, a source revealed that smitten Travis hopped on a plane hours after he was accused of being a red flag following his behavior at the Super Bowl parade, with the pair deciding they will never spend more than two weeks apart.

‘They were talking about letting her get back into touring without any distractions, but they are so in love right now that the decision was made that he had to be there,’ they said.

‘They want to spend as much time with each other as possible and that is what they will keep on doing.

‘Travis will be touring with her on all her stops and will return to the States when needed. They have decided that they don’t want to be away from each other for more than two weeks at a time.’

They added that the fatal shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade terrified Taylor as they claimed it ‘made her realize that he is very important to her.’

Another insider told DailyMail.com: ‘Taylor got her Valentine’s Day gift after all. It was the best gift any woman could ever want – to be with her man.

‘She was on cloud nine in Sydney. He even shaved his beard to look his best for her.

When it is just them, they are not the star athlete or the superstar singer. They are just a normal couple who are madly in love.

Travis landed in Australia on Thursday, just a few days after his team the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers at the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, where he was cheered on by Taylor and her pals.

His arrival came one week after he was branded a ‘red flag’ for smiling in a ‘tone deaf’ selfie with a police officer outside a restaurant hours after the horrific shooting at the Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade on February 14.

One woman was killed and 23 people were wounded in a mass shooting at the west side of Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri.

It took place minutes after Travis was filmed swaying and having to be held up by his teammates after too much to drink saw him struggling to speak coherently.

With the celebrations over, Travis is now shacked up with Taylor at the high-end hotel Crown Towers in a suite that costs $16,300 (AU$25,000).
