Taylor Swift Celebrates Boyfriend Travis Kelce’s Chiefs Win Onstage at Eras Tour with Unexpected Lyric Change…read more
“Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me,” Swift sang on Oct. 20 after the Chiefs beat the 49ers that day.
Taylor Swift kept the good karma going at the Eras Tour with a special shout-out!
On Sunday, Oct. 20, at her third show in Miami, the 14-time Grammy winner, 34, celebrated NFL boyfriend Travis Kelce’s victory onstage shortly after his Kansas City Chiefs defeated the 49ers in San Francisco.
While ending the concert with tour closer “Karma,” Swift joyfully changed the song’s lyrics from “Karma is the guy on the screen coming straight home to me” to “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me.”
While Swift has performed the altered lyrics in the past, this is the first time she’s done so without Kelce, 35, in the audience.
The “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” singer first performed the lyric switch-up in front of Kelce in November at a show in Argentina, where Kelce was caught reacting to the moment by smiling, putting his hands on his face in disbelief and continuing to dance beside Swift’s just-as-excited dad, Scott.
Although the Chiefs tight end couldn’t make it to Swift’s three Miami shows over the weekend, the Kelce clan showed up in full force to support his superstar girlfriend, including his mom Donna Kelce, who attended the Eras Tour for the first time on Oct. 18.
Travis’ brother Jason Kelce also attended alongside his wife Kylie and two of their daughters, Wyatt and Elliotte.
Travis and Swift, however, spent quality time the previous weekend, when they dined out on consecutive nights while in New York City and then went to a New York Yankees vs. Cleveland Guardians playoff game on Oct. 14.
Swift’s three Miami shows marked her return to the Eras Tour after her two-month break, during which she spent time going on dates with Travis, attending his home games and rehearsing for her comeback.
Among the other onstage highlights of her Miami shows was Swift bringing out surprise performer Florence Welch, who joined Swift onstage to sing “Florida!!!” fittingly in the Sunshine State.
The pair previously performed the Tortured Poets Department track in London at Wembley Stadium in August.
The “Fortnight” singer also debuted a new jumpsuit for the Reputation-era portion of her concert, which sent fans into a frenzy as they continue to speculate that her re-recording of the 2017 album is coming soon.
Many Celebrities attended Swift’s Oct. 18 comeback show, including Tom Brady, Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie and Serena Williams.
The kicked off in March 2023 and has since spanned Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and South America.
Next up, Swift will head to New Orleans, Indianapolis and Toronto over the next two months, before ending the tour in Vancouver in December.
