Taylor Swift Eras Tour Melbourne LIVE updates: US pop superstar takes to the stage at MCG in front of sold-out crowd

Taylor Swift has donated $100,000 to the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan. The woman who died after a mass shooting at the end of the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade.

Lopez-Galvan was celebrating the Super Bowl with her son and husband when she was shot on Wednesday.

A GoFundMe for the mother of two shows Swift donated to lots of $50,000 in the last half an hour. The fundraiser target for $75,000 has now well and truly been reached.

Swift attended the Super Bowl to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce who has expressed his horror at the shooting.

Swift brings tears to the MCG
“Never be so kind you forget to be clever,” Swift reminds the MCG.

The evermore track Marjorie, dedicated to Swift’s grandmother, draws plenty of tears from Swifties outside the stadium.

In front of Gate 3, a trio sway along to the music, holding hands and singing loudly.

No really, are you ready for it?

Because Swift has plunged into her next era: Reputation (2017).

It’s gritty, it’s a bit angry, it’s risqué. And the crowd lovea it.

Kicking it off with … Ready For It?

The rumbling base has fans inside the stadium screaming in anticipation.

Outside, ticketless Swifties are stamping their feet in perfect time to the album’s opening track.

Others are up and dancing on the grass, watched carefully by the police.

“She sounds so good, I’m gonna die,” one fan screamed.

Could Swift announce the re-recording of the Reputation album soon? Only time will tell …

Champagne Problems are our only problems tonight
By Hannah Kennelly
We are now halfway through the evermore (2020) track list, and it’s time for heartbreak song Champagne Problems – a fan favourite. It drew 10 minutes of applause during one of her US shows, and it sounds like tonight will be no different.

outside the stadium hold hands as they crescendo to the song’s iconic bridge, “She would have made such a lovely bride, what a shame she’s f—ed in the head”.

Torturing us with Tortured Poet promises?
By Liam Pieper
Taylor Swift reminds the crowd about her forthcoming album The Tortured Poets Department over the piano.

“The Tortured Poets Department will be released April 19 … we might talk about that later,” she says, hinting, perhaps, that she may play a song from the project.

This causes the three-seats-away sobbing girl from my earlier post to almost pass out.
