Taylor Swift-Kim Kardashian Feud – Internet Sides with Kim on #KimExposedTaylorParty
Swift quickly denied the claim, with a spokesperson telling PEOPLE: “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account.”
Her rep also said, “She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous.’”
Kim seemed to disagree, echoing West’s claimed in the July issue of GQ.
Swift] totally approved that,” she said. “She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn’t. I swear, my husband gets so much s— for things [when] he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved.”
Kim then leaked the video footage of the approval – on her Snapchat account after a July 17 episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Swift quickly denied it, in an Instagram post that night.
“Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me ‘that bitch’ in his song?” she wrote. “It doesn’t exist because it never happened. You don’t get to control someone’s emotional response to being called ‘that bitch’ in front of the entire world.”
A source told PEOPLE that Kim released the video out of devotion to her husband. “Kim is super loyal to Kanye and will always do anything to have his back,” says the insider. “She is even more protective of him than she is of herself. She thinks he’s misunderstood and couldn’t stand that people thought he was a liar.”
