Travis Kelce moves the Chiefs to ‘tears’ with ‘unbelievable and powerful’ pre-Super Bowl speech

Travis Kelce packed a punch.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, reportedly moved his teammates to tears with an emotional speech ahead of Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

According to NFL reporter Albert Breer, Chiefs coach Andy Reid and players Patrick Mahomes and Chris Jones also gave pep talks.

“All were great,” Breer wrote via X (formerly Twitter).

“Kelce particularly so— ‘Unbelievable’ and ‘powerful,’ according to people in the room, to the point where some teammates were moved to tears.”
Another coach described the athlete’s address as “the best talk/speech I’ve ever heard.”

The Kansas City Chiefs are vying to become the first team to win back-to-back Vince Lombardi trophies in 20 years, while their opponents — the San Francisco 49ers —are looking to end a 30-year drought.

Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, will be cheering him on after racing back to the United States following her Eras Tour performance in Tokyo.

The “Bad Blood” singer, 34, was spotted arriving to Sunday’s big game alongside gal pals Blake Lively and Ice Spice and her mom, Andrea Swift, after landing in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon.

The pop star wore a gold “87” necklace in honor of her beau, 34, along with a red jacket, a black corset top and crystal-embellished jeans.

Swift had to travel through several different time zones to make it back for Super Bowl LVIII, where she is expected to occupy a VIP suite that is being paid for by Kelce.

The tight end’s parents, Donna and Ed Kelce, brother Jason Kelce and sister-in-law Kylie Kelce will join her.

The Grammy winner has been a loyal attendee of Kelce’s games and joined him on the field after the Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game, paving the way for their Super Bowl appearance.

The “Anti-Hero” singer celebrated the victory by hugging and passionately smooching Kelce as they were swarmed by cameras.

Kelce later called the sweet interaction “another memory in the journey that we get to cherish.”

“When Travis Kelce arrived quietly at the private memorial service in Dallas, no one expected the Chiefs’ tight end to turn the somber gathering into a moment that would be remembered forever. ▶️ WATCH THE VIDEO: As Marshawn Kneeland’s father sat in the front row holding a framed photo of his son, his hands trembling, Travis approached — not as a football superstar, but as a teammate, a brother, and a man who understood the weight of loss. Placing one arm gently around Kneeland’s father’s shoulders, Travis spoke softly, his voice steady yet full of emotion: “Marshawn Kneeland wasn’t just a player on our team — he was the soul of it. His energy, his laughter, his fight… they’ll stay with us every time we step on that field.” For a moment, the chapel fell completely silent. Then Travis lowered his head, offering a quiet prayer. His words, unspoken yet deeply felt, carried through the room — a promise that Marshawn’s spirit would live on through the game he loved and the men who played beside him. By the time Travis stepped back, tears filled the eyes of teammates, family, and friends alike. In that small chapel, it wasn’t about football anymore. It was about brotherhood, grief, and the kind of love that refuses to fade — even after the final whistle.”
