Considering co-host and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and music megastar Taylor Swift dropped the news they are engaged, you would expect that topic to come up.
Swift joined Kelce and fellow co-host Jason Kelce on the Aug. 13 episode of the podcast to discuss reclaiming her master recordings and new album and the result was record-setting traffic for YouTube – a peak of 1.3 million concurrent live viewers.
The next New Heights episode, due to drop Wednesday, Aug. 27, could be record-setting, too, especially if Swift were to make a return visit to discuss the engagement, Kelce’s proposal and, of course, the ring.

The New Heights podcast celebrated the engagement announcement with several posts on social media. The first on X included a screen grab of the couple’s Instagram post in which they announced their engagement.
Another included a video clip of Travis Kelce talking about how he wanted to meet Swift during the Eras Tour in Kansas City, when he couldn’t deliver a friendship bracelet to the singer.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Kelce said to his brother, Jason.
In addition to talking about regaining ownership of her music catalog, Swift also spilled some of the backstory on how she wound up meeting Kelce.
Her father, Scott Swift, had been longtime friends with Chiefs coach Andy Reid, she said. After Kelce talked about Swift on the New Heights podcast and said he wanted to date her, “Andy (Reid) was vouching for you.
