Sunday football has begun—but Taylor Swift won’t be watching her fiancé, Travis Kelce, and the Kansas City Chiefs play in any stadium today or tomorrow. The reason is simple: They don’t have a game, as it’s the team’s bye week.

Kelce has been with Swift in New York City, and the couple had public dates on Wednesday and Thursday night:

Kelce will be playing again next week, on November 16, when the Chiefs have an away game against the Denver Broncos. They’ll play a home game against the Indianapolis Colts on November 23 before spending their Thanksgiving playing an away game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Last week, a source told Us Weekly about Swift and Kelce’s holiday plans, noting the tight end has games on both Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. This holiday season “will be very low-key, family-centric and [won’t involve any] major travel,” the insider said. They will split time with their families, the outlet reported.

The Chiefs’ Christmas game will be at Arrowhead Stadium, meaning Kelce at the very least won’t have to spend his Christmas away from home.

Kelce has kept his exact bye week plans private this year. The couple has generally kept their life together more private, too. Even at home games, Swift has maintained a much lower profile as she attends and cheers on her fiancé.

She has avoided being photographed arriving in the stadium or being broadcast much during the games. A source told Us Weekly that the star decided to fly more under the radar because the attention she received at games was “getting too excessive.”

Her partner is focused on playing to the best of his ability, especially since the Chiefs are currently third in the AFC West with a 5–4 record.

On his podcast New Heights this week, Kelce said, “I feel good about it [going into bye week] because I know the characters that we have in the room. I know the guys that we have there; we’re going to come back, recharged, and ready to rock and roll.”

He then added, “I can’t say that I’m not frustrated—more from the entire start of the season than just this Bills game [that we lost most recently]. There’s games I don’t think we had any business losing. I feel like we didn’t come out with our best punch against Buffalo. We’ve got to find a way to clean all that up, man. We’ve got to get back to playing passionate Chiefs football, dying for each other out there on the field, man. Whatever that takes during the week to get yourself ready on Sundays, even on a short week, it doesn’t matter. No excuses.”

He admitted he would have the Broncos game on his mind for the next two weeks and wasn’t looking too far ahead of that.
