Then-White House press secretary Jen Psaki tried to spin it by saying the event was limited to “the three largest employers of the United Auto Workers,” a clear admission that political loyalty, not innovation, determined who got a seat at the table.
When asked if Tesla’s exclusion was punishment for being non-union, Psaki smugly said, “I’ll let you draw your own conclusion.” Millions of Americans did — and they concluded that Biden’s “Build Back Better” agenda was nothing more than a political slush fund for Democrat allies.
Musk, who sold more electric cars than Ford, GM, and Chrysler combined, tweeted, “Yeah, seems odd that Tesla wasn’t invited.” The post went viral, and Americans saw right through the charade — Biden was rewarding his union cronies while punishing the most innovative entrepreneur of our time.
