Meghan Markle copies Kate Middleton’s style after ‘making the first move’ towards reunion

In more efforts to patch things up, Meghan Markle has been taking style inspiration from Kate Middleton. The Duchess is reportedly keen to reconcile with the Princess of Wales.

They say imitation is the biggest form of flattery and Meghan Markle has shown she is taking style inspiration from her sister-in-law Princess Kate after reported efforts to patch things up.

The relationship between the Duchess of Sussex and the Princess of Wales has been infamously turbulent over the last few years. The Sussexes made explosive claims about the Royal Family in their revealing Netflix documentary. And then Prince Harry continued to stir the pot in his debut memoir Spare – describing how his sister-in-law made his wife-to-be cry in a dress-fitting drama and an occasion where Kate refused to lend Meghan lipgloss.

But now, despite the icy relations between 42-year-old Meghan and Kate, also 42, it seems there is finally one thing they can agree on – their choice of winter footwear. Over in Canada, where the Sussexes are currently enjoying the Invictus Games one-year countdown celebrations, the former Suits actress was spotted out and about in Kate’s favourite pair of snow boots.

On Wednesday, the Duchess was sure to keep her tootsies warm as she braved the baltic Canadian snow. Wearing a long cream puffer over an all-white outfit, she opted for a grey pair of faux-fur trimmed arctic boots by Sorel – known to be one of Kate’s favourite footwear brands. The Princess of Wales, who is currently recovering from a major operation, has stepped out in the designer label numerous times while touring Sweden and Norway during the winter season
