SAFETY FIRST’Taylor Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce ask to ‘negotiate security’ while attending Coachella’s Neon Carnival

The couple was reportedly headed to the desert to join friends at the annual Coachella Music and Arts Festival this weekend and support Swift’s bestie Lana Del Rey.

Photographs showed the loved-up pair opting for a low-key date night at Sushi Park in West Hollywood on Friday, however, an insider told The U.S. Sun the pair were in talks this last week to attend Saturday night’s VIP soiree Neon Carnival.

“Travis loves Coachella and he was keen to go to Neon, it’s the biggest after-party of the weekend,” they said.

“His team was trying to figure out the logistics for him and Taylor to attend but it has been up in the air due to the attention they get from crowds.

“Despite being an invite-only event there are still thousands of partygoers at the bash every year and Taylor and Travis always think about safety first.”

The U.S. Sun reached out to Taylor and Travis’ reps and Neon’s organizers who declined to comment.

Taylor, 34, attended the carnival in 2016, and Travis’ publicity agency Fullscope PR used to look after the event.

The pop star reunited with her beau on Friday after his trip to Cincinnati for his “New Heights” live podcast show at Fifth Third Arena at the University of Cincinnati alongside his brother, Jason Kelce.

The Daily Mail previously reported the couple had booked a stay at The Madison Club in La Quinta for their Coachella trip.

They want privacy so The Madison Club is perfect for them because not just anyone can stay there,” a source told the outlet.

“They don’t want a ton of eyes on them, they want to be able to let their guard down and be comfortable.”

Despite being a no-show on Friday, they would still have time to catch a few acts, including pal Jack Antonoff’s band Bleachers, and party at Neon, especially since Taylor has a private jet.

Many A-listers have attended the bash over the years without causing a frenzy, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Rihanna, Drake, and Justin Bieber.

While festival-goers at the main site may rush up to celebrities to ask for a selfie, it is less likely at Neon which is considered a high-profile event for VIPs.

… They want to be able to let their guard down and be comfortable.

The late-night dance party is the brainchild of veteran hospitality visionary Brent Bolthouse and is held at the Desert International Horse Park.

Neon, which runs from 10 pm to 4 am, is a mini festival similar to Coachella featuring games, rides, brand activations, and, most importantly, a fully stocked open bar.

The event is being held in partnership with Patron El Alto and guests will be served handcrafted tequila cocktails.

The 2024 event is slated to include DJ Pee. Wee, headliner Anderson Paak and Vanderpump Rules’ James Kennedy along with DJ Hunny Bee.

Travis, 34, and Taylor have also been invited to a private party on Saturday by Selena Gomez’s boyfriend Benny Blanco at a private residence in Coachella.

Selena, 31, showed up to support singer Lana on Friday night as she was pictured in the crowd.

“Benny’s party is the talk of the Hollywood scene at the minute as it’s rumored Selena, Taylor, and Travis could join,” one insider told The U.S. Sun.

The house is a smaller venue than where the other parties are hosted and is located behind custom entry gates and fully fenced off, which will be handy if crashers try to get in.

“There will be heavy security and the guest list is extremely tight.”

The U.S. Sun contacted Benny’s reps for comment but did not immediately hear back.

The annual Neon carnival draw a whole host of A-list guests every year after Coachella.
